Flooding Expected Sunday Into Monday

Most of the shore towns in the State of New Jersey are in a flood warning this weekend into early next week.

According to the US National Weather Service Philadelphia/Mount Holly, moderate flooding will occur in tidal areas of Delaware and New Jersey on Sunday into Monday. Sunday and Monday’s high tide cycles will be the likely time slots for the high flooding.

Gale to storm-force wind gust are expected to be from 40-50kts with waves reaching a height of 10ft likely. Additionally seas will build to over 12 ft on the Atlantic by Sunday.

Minor accumulations of freezing rain is possible in Northeastern PA and Northwester NJ from Sunday night through Monday morning.

How to prepare;

If you like in a flood prone area please take precautions and move your cars to higher elevations. If you have anything outside make sure it is tied down or secured.
