With Halloween around the corner, some ask, what is there to do with your children in Wildwood during Halloween. Well to answer your question, tons of amazing things!

Starting from  Saturday, October 24 through Saturday, October 31, The Wildwoods will be offering 4 (four) great events for families and children of all ages.

To start things off, on Saturday, October 24  the Wildwoods Boardwalk 5K Pumpkin Run will take place.  It’s a ran and shine 5k run that starts off at the Wildwoods Convention Center. Registration begins at 9 am and the run will start at 10am. Registration is $25 for adults and $10 for 18 and under. All participants will receive a Pumpkin Run T-shirt.Make sure to wear your Halloween costumes as prizes will be given out for best dressed Family, Youth, Infant and Best All-Around.

All proceeds benefit Wildwoods’ Elementary Schools located on the Island. *

On Sunday, October 25 the Island Pumpkin Fest will be held at Fox Park and on the Wildwoods Beach from 10 am to 4 pm.  There will be food vendors, craft vendors, a costume contest and free entertainment.  The hay rides will take place on the beach at Andrews Avenue and move towards the Great Pumpkin Patch behind the  Wildwoods Convention Center. the fee for hay rides are $7 (seven dollars) for children and $3 (three dollars)  for parents.

On Thursday, October 29 at 6 pm, the Wildwood Crest Recreation Department will host their Annual Halloween Trunk-or-Treat.   Bring your Halloween themed/decorated cars, trucks, and vans, to the Wildwood Crest Pier parking lot at Heather Road and Ocean Avenue. From here, the vehicles will distribute candy from the trunks of their cars to children in Halloween costumes.

Other events that will take place are; awards for the best decorated car, refreshments, and a DJ.

Trunk-or-Treat is a FREE event, but vehicles must be pre-registered to take part. Registration forms are available at the Crest Pier Recreation Center. Please call 609-523-0202 or visit

We finish up our activities on Halloween!

On October 31st, Wildwood Elks will host a FREE Halloween Haunted House at the Elks Lodge.

Trick-or-Treaters can  experience a walk through haunted house from five (5)pm to eight (8) pm. Of course treats will be given out!
