Now that we have made it past these storms this week, it is time for fun activities to come back to the Wildwoods. Morey’s piers will be open for their last weekend for their 2015 season this weekend and the Italian festival and the Seafood & Music Festival is this weekend too! I am more excited for the  “Race of Gentlemen” that is happened this weekend on the beach!. If you love pre-1950s cars then this is the place for you. PRESS RELEASE For Race of Gentlemen

The annual ‘Race of Gentleman’ Vintage Car and Motorcycle Beach Drag Races returns to The Wildwoods Friday, October 9 through Sunday, October 11. Vintage auto (pre-1934) and motorcycles (pre-1948) will compete in an exhibition style beach race at the water’s edge at Spicer Avenue in Wildwood.

On Friday, October 9 the Night of the Troglodytes kicks off with a pre-party exhibiting 60’s-70’s choppers and show bikes from 6 p.m.-11 p.m. at the Surfcomber Motel located at 4800 Atlantic Avenue in Wildwood.

Race day begins on Saturday, October 10 and will feature vintage auto and motorcycle races from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Gates open at 8 a.m. for spectators. There will be live music, a kid’s area, and food and beer vendors.

Saturday night will feature a bonfire and beach party with live rock ’n roll from 7 p.m. until midnight.

Race of Gentlemen Wildwood

The fun continues Sunday, October 11 with a second day of races from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. followed by an awards ceremony, beach party and more rock ‘n roll music. Beach entry begins at 8:30 a.m. for spectators.

No coolers will be permitted on the beach but food and beverages will be available for sale for your convenience. Please note that race times may vary depending on ocean tides.
