The End to “Superstars” on the Boardwalk

The End to “Superstars” on the Boardwalk

Andrew Yevish, the owner of the boardwalk store “Superstars” announced on Facebook that after 9 years in business the location will be closing for good.

Located at 3212 Boardwalk (Pine), “Superstars” will be closing it’s doors on Halloween Weekend. Below is the post he put on Facebook.

“Well it is official. After 9 years in business, Superstars will be closing it’s doors permanently on Halloween weekend. This was the second store I opened after Fame, and I got the name from a Styx song that came on as I was thinking if a name that would encompass many aspects of pop culture. Superstars did more than that. It became an oasis where you could relive your past through your favorite movies, tv shows, rock stars, superheroes, and sports legends. It was until recently financially successful but the changing Wildwood economy has just made business there no longer viable.

The store provided me with many great experiences and through it I met many wonderful people. Customers, employees, neighbors…
Superstars always had a unique feel to it. I will be sad to be moving on. This will mark my retirement from 37 years of boardwalk life from my first summer job until now. My other store Fame will still be open at least one more year.

We will be having some great sales on much of the merchandise, so any Superstars fans I welcome to come visit us and grab something.

All great things must come to an end. I came up with the concept of this store, the design of this store, the merchandise, and it was like my brainchild.

Thank you for all the memories!”

We wish Andrew the best of luck!
