Wildwood Boardwalk Businesses To Open And Have Pickups Only!

Wildwood Boardwalk Businesses To Open And Have Pickups Only!

In a process to get our local businesses open, a joint proposal by Wildwood Mayor Pete Byron and North Wildwood Patrick Rosenello was passed this morning to allow Wildwood Boardwalk businesses to open. There are some some rules that come with it though.

First and foremost, the Wildwood Boardwalk is still CLOSED! This means no walking, biking, or sitting is allowed on the boardwalk. There are orange cones with signs that read that the boardwalk is closed.

Next the rules allows that any owners, tenants and employees of boardwalk properties and businesses may enter the boardwalk at the closed boardwalk ramp for the purpose of accessing their property or business.

It goes on to say, “Customers of essential businesses may enter the boardwalk at the closed boardwalk ramp for the purpose of accessing an essential business for take-out service only. This includes food services business.

So what does this mean? You can only go on the boardwalk if you work at a store or if you are going to pick up food. You can’t sit and eat the food on the boardwalk and if you are doing to a business you have to enter at the ramp near the business. You can’t enter the boardwalk at 16th street to walk down to 26th to get Sams.
