Wildwood Crest 2020 Beach Box Information

Hey everyone! Here is an update on an article we posted yesterday stating the City of Wildwood Crest was terminating their contract with the city of Wildwood and their beach box program.

The correct information is that the city was terminating their contract so that they could do it on their own, according to their recently released press release. Last year’s program was so successful that they decided to order more boxes and operate them on their own. The new boxes are currently being made and should arrive shortly.

Below is the press release.

The Borough of Wildwood Crest will offer a beach box rental program for its residents and visitors again for the summer of 2020.

Beg inning this year, the program will be run through the Borough of Wildwood Crest Recreation Department.

The price of $400 for a summer rental of a Wildwood Crest Beach Box willremain the same for 2020.

Wildwood Crest is currently developing a website page for the program and expects to have it up and running on or before Feb. 1.The public will be able to access that website for informational purposes at that time.

Reservations for those who rented beach boxes in 2019 will be available beginning March 1, following the passage of a fee ordinance for this purpose.

Beginning March 15, beach boxes will be made available to the general public on a first-come, first-served basis. All previous beach box holders should reserve their box for 2020 prior to March 15.

Reservations for previous beach box holders will be made for the same location as in 2019 unless those reserving indicate otherwise.

For further information on the 2020 Wildwood Crest Beach Box rental program, call the Wildwood Crest Recreation Department at (609) 523-0202.
