Even though today is the official first day of summer, for us in the Wildwoods it started back on Memorial Day Weekend.
On that weekend we kicked off summer by visiting our favorite places, visiting our friends, and seeing what is new on the island.
NEW – So Sweet Candy Shop!
Prior to that weekend, we published a video and article detailing all of the new things opening up on the Wildwood boardwalk.

Since then a few new things have opened on the island, one of those is “So Sweet!”
So Sweet is a new candy shop located next to Dragon’s Lair Mini Golf (aka Schellenger Ave and the boardwalk).
This location used to be home to the store “Boardwalk Bargains.”
So Sweet had been under construction for a while now but the massive sign was finally installed and the door opened this past week.
Its sign is made up of an enlarged ice cream cone, lollipop, and candy cane which surely catches your attention as you walk down the boardwalk.
Inside is a colorful display of every kind of candy you could imagine. Its walls are filled top to bottom with different kinds of candy. (seriously, the right wall is made up of clear pipes that are filled with candy).
On top of having candy, they also have ice cream, fudge, desserts coffee, and more.
