Johnny Longhots is Coming to Wildwood!

Johnny Longhots is Coming to Wildwood!

If you’ve driven down Pacific Avenue recently, you may have noticed a new red mural on the side of 3115 Pacific Ave (at the corner of Pine and Pacific).

The mural features Benjamin Franklin saying “Whiz Wit,” an Italian flag, sandwiches, and the Philadelphia skyline, among other images.

For the past few days, we’ve been curious about what was going into this building with such a vibrant mural.

On July 2nd, the name of the establishment was revealed: Johnny Longhots.

Johnny Longhots is a popular eatery known for its Italian and American fare, primarily celebrated for its specialty sandwiches.

The name “Longhots” reflects a signature ingredient in many of their dishes—long hot peppers—which add a distinctive kick to their flavorful offerings.

The name might sound familiar, as they already have locations in Voorhees, Deptford, Marlton, Hainesport-Lumberton, and most recently, Sicklerville.

Established with a commitment to quality and tradition, Johnny Longhots has built a reputation for using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Their Philly cutlets are a highlight, featuring 28 different options and available as chicken or eggplant. Some of their notable sandwiches include:

  • The Rocky: Cutlet topped with prosciutto, broccoli rabe, and sharp provolone.
  • The Paisano: Cutlet topped with broccoli rabe, roasted peppers, and sharp provolone.
  • The Inferno: Cutlet topped with pepper spread, long hots, and pepper jack.

Their cheesesteaks are amazing too. Thinly sliced rib-eye steak cooked to perfection, accompanied by melted cheese and optional toppings like fried onions, mushrooms, and, of course, long hot peppers.

Their “Philly Jawns” have also become a crowd favorite. These meatball or sausage sandwiches can be filled with everything from vodka sauce to broccoli rabe, roasted peppers, long hots, and more.

All of their sandwiches are celebrated, crafted with premium meats and cheeses, fresh vegetables, and a variety of condiments, all served on freshly baked rolls.

Each Johnny Longhots location offers different options on their menu, and the menu for the Wildwood location has not been posted yet.

Crews were still working on the kitchen, but things look promising for an opening in a few weeks.
