FIRST LOOK at the Wildwood Boardwalk Starbucks

If you haven’t heard by now, the Wildwood Boardwalk is getting its own Starbucks store.

This won’t be just a “Proudly Serve” Starbucks, where Starbucks coffee is offered at various non-Starbucks locations such as hotels, offices, universities, and other establishments. Instead, it will be a full-fledged store.

The Wildwood Boardwalk Starbucks will be located at Glenwood and the Boardwalk.

This section of the Wildwood Boardwalk will undergo a massive renovation as the main building transforms into a new hotel called “The Wild Resort.”

For the past decade, the top two floors of this building have sat empty after plans fell through around 2009.

Last summer, it was announced that the entire building would be renovated and turned into this resort.

The approved hotel application includes adding two additional floors to the existing building, increasing the total number of rooms to 75.

The renovation plans also feature a rooftop pool, a new restaurant, and a comprehensive refurbishment of the shops on the first floor.

These enhancements aim to significantly elevate the overall guest experience and attract more visitors to the area, which was very much needed.

In the renderings of the design, we saw a spot for a café in the location where Starbucks is currently being built.

The last time we stopped by, crews were working on the interior of the shop.

Since then, they have completed the interior and installed windows and doors on the boardwalk.

There is no official opening date yet, but the interior looks almost ready to open next week.

Counters are set up, cups are in place, water bottles are on the shelves, snacks are in bins, and syrups are in canisters.

The only work that still needs to be done is in the lobby and the installation of the main sign.

Tables and chairs still need to be set up in the lobby, and wires are hanging from the ceiling. The main sign, which spells out “Starbucks,” is sitting in a pile waiting to be installed.

If we had to guess, this Starbucks could be opening very, very soon. The Wildwood Video Archive reached out to Starbucks Corpate on this location and they did not return our call.

Their website does not list the Wildwood Boardwalk location on their ‘find a starbucks near me’ store locator. This doesn’t mean that it won’t be opening soon.

One last thing to note: a massive banner has been hung where the new Wild Resort is coming. On it, you can see the main mock-up of the resort with the wording, “Coming in 2025.”

This means we can see the full resort opening sometime next summer. This could be a trend that could see other blocks of the Wildwood Boardwalk renovated.
