The Wildwood Police Department has issued a warning regarding a pop-up party that was being promoted on social media for this coming weekend.

According to a public statement released by the department, law enforcement officials have already taken proactive steps to prevent the event from taking place, including identifying the organizers.
Thanks to these preemptive actions, the individuals behind the gathering have reportedly canceled the event across their social media platforms.
Despite the cancellation, officials remain on high alert.
“We are working with local and state agencies to promptly shut down this unsanctioned event, if it takes place, and to hold all participants accountable,” the statement read.

Police Warn of Unsanctioned Wildwood Event
The department also issued a special advisory to rental property owners across Wildwood—including Airbnb hosts, motel operators, and property managers—to exercise increased caution this weekend.

These types of pop-up parties, often organized by large groups of young people through social media, have been known to cause significant disturbances, including noise complaints, public intoxication, and damage to rental properties.
“These groups are known to take over rental properties and cause property damage,” police noted, urging property owners to screen guests carefully and report any suspicious activity.
While no specific date or location for the now-canceled event was provided in the police statement, residents and business owners are encouraged to stay vigilant and report any unauthorized gatherings to police.
As a reminder, the Wildwoods have a nightly curfew for minors. This curfew in daily. From 10pm onward, all minors must be with a guardian.
Wildwood Police stated they will continue to monitor the situation closely and will provide updates as needed.
