North Wildwood’s Christmas in July” 2025 Event List – Surfing Santas!

Santa Claus is ditching the sleigh for sand as North Wildwood gears up for its festive and fun-filled “Christmas in July” celebration.

With a full day of holiday-themed beachside events, residents and visitors are invited to get in the spirit—swim trunks and Santa hats included.

Here’s a rundown of all the exciting activities planned:

Surfing Santas Hit the Waves – July 26th

Kicking things off bright and early is the Surfing Santas event at 15th Street Beach.

Sign-ups begin at 8 a.m. with the event starting at 9 a.m.

Participants can grab their surfboards, boogie boards, or paddle boards and hit the waves dressed as Santa (or in any festive attire).

There will be Santa hats, snacks, and drinks available for a small donation while supplies last. A 50/50 raffle and costume contest will add extra excitement, with all proceeds going to support the Cape May County Animal Shelter.

Spectators are encouraged to come dressed up and cheer on these holiday wave-riders!

Santa on the Beach – July 26th

Starting at noon, the North Wildwood Beach Patrol brings its legendary “Christmas in July” celebration to the shoreline. (Starting North and heading south)

The lifeguards will spread cheer along North Wildwood Beach with decorated lifeguard stands, costumed patrol members, and jolly musical performances.

Expect Santa sightings, holiday tunes, and plenty of opportunities for photos and fun.

House Decorating Contest Debuts

New this year, the North Wildwood Recreation Department is hosting its Inaugural Christmas in July House Decorating Contest.

All are encouraged to deck their homes with lights, inflatables, wreaths, and all things merry and bright.

Judging will take place during the week of July 21st, with winners announced on Friday, July 25th—just in time for the weekend’s main events.

Prizes will be awarded to the best-decorated homes that show off the most creative and festive flair.
