Things to Do in the Wildwoods This Weekend Oct 3rd
Run the Crest
Kicking off the weekend is Run The Crest, a high-energy running festival held at Centennial Park in Wildwood Crest on Friday and Saturday, October 3rd and 4th.
The festival begins Friday evening with the 5K race at 5:30 p.m., perfect for runners looking for a quick challenge before the weekend begins.
Saturday morning brings the main events with the Half Marathon at 7:30 a.m. and the 10K at 8:30 a.m.
For kids aged 10 and under, the Crest Kids Fun Run offers a chance to join the excitement by dashing around the perimeter of the festival grounds.
But Run The Crest is about more than just racing. It is a full community celebration. Saturday’s festivities feature food trucks, vendors, live music, and activities the whole family can enjoy.
Teams can compete together for bragging rights in categories like fastest overall and largest group participation.
Even better, the event supports Amanda’s Wish Foundation in honor of Amanda Holland, making every step count toward a meaningful cause.
Whether you’re aiming to beat your personal best or just enjoy the festive atmosphere, Run The Crest is a must for fitness fans and families alike.
The Race of Gentlemen
On Saturday and Sunday, the iconic Race of Gentlemen (TROG) returns to the Wildwood beach with vintage motor racing right on the sand.
This one-of-a-kind event showcases pre- and post-war vehicles, all restored with care and raced by drivers who live for the thrill.
Attendees can watch as motorcycles and cars from another era kick up sand while thundering down the shoreline.

The vibe is as unique as the racing itself with hot rods, leather jackets, and old-school mechanics combined with the Wildwood boardwalk backdrop.
Beyond the action, TROG is also about community. Visitors can meet passionate vehicle owners, explore the pits, and immerse themselves in the retro atmosphere.
Races are tide dependent but are expected to begin at 10 a.m. both days.
Wildwood RV Show
If you’re more about road trips than races, the Wildwood RV Show has you covered. Running Friday through Sunday inside the Wildwoods Convention Center, this event is South Jersey’s largest indoor end-of-year liquidation sale.
Shoppers can browse a wide variety of recreational vehicles from New Jersey’s top dealers along with vendors offering the latest RV accessories and gear.
Hours are Friday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $15 per day, cash only, with kids under 10 admitted free.
Whether you’re looking to upgrade your current RV or buy your very first one, the show is a prime opportunity to explore options before next summer’s adventures.
Morey’s Piers Oktoberfest
Finally, no October weekend in the Wildwoods would be complete without Morey’s Piers Oktoberfest. Held at Mariner’s Pier, this festival is overflowing with German flavor including bratwurst, pretzels, and frosty steins of beer.
Guests can enjoy live bands on the Coca-Cola stage as well as roving entertainment by the Oompah Delics. Rides and games add to the fun, making it a perfect event for families as well as adults.
Oktoberfest hours this weekend are Friday from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Saturday from 1 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
With only two weekends left in the celebration, now is the time to grab your lederhosen and join the fun.
Whether you’re lacing up for a race, checking out vintage hot rods, shopping for an RV, or raising a stein at Oktoberfest, the Wildwoods have something for everyone this weekend. Do not miss it.
