18-Unit Apartment Complex Proposed for Wildwood
Now that the Wildwoods are deep into the off-season, construction crews are kicking into high gear as new projects begin popping up across the island.
With fewer visitors and less traffic, fall and winter are the prime time for developers to make progress before the next summer season.

18 Unit Apartment Complex Proposed for Wildwood
This past week, the Wildwood Video Archive released the first “Wildwoods Construction Update” video of the off-season, highlighting several major projects already underway.
You can watch that full video at the bottom of this article.

One of the busiest areas for construction right now is the east side of Maple Avenue, just steps from the Wildwood Boardwalk.
The area, once home to small motels and seasonal parking lots, has become a focal point for redevelopment as investors reimagine how the downtown and boardwalk corridor will look in the coming years.

It’s expected to open by the summer of 2026 and will serve as one of the most upscale accommodations on the island.

But just across the block, another major project is being proposed, and it could significantly change the look and feel of this corner of Wildwood.
The site currently known as Mike’s Boardwalk Parking, located at 401 East Maple Avenue, is a large lot with over 70 parking spaces and several small structures.
According to a newly filed application with the City of Wildwood Planning and Zoning Board, a company called LJKQ Real Estate NJ, LLC has submitted plans to demolish the existing buildings and redevelop the property into a modern residential complex.
The proposal calls for the construction of four multifamily buildings containing a total of 18 residential units. The development would also include a shared swimming pool, landscaped areas, and various on-site amenities designed to create a more community-oriented living space.

If the name sounds familiar, it’s because LJKQ Real Estate NJ, LLC has been behind several notable developments across the island. Their projects, including those built at the site of the former Bonelli’s Market, have been recognized for their attention to design, coastal aesthetic, and focus on revitalizing underutilized spaces.
The company’s growing footprint in Wildwood reflects the larger trend of investment and modernization currently shaping the island’s landscape.
For a while there, the Wildwoods were the last Wild West of the real estate market at the Jersey Shore.
Between the Wild Resort, the new apartment proposal, and other off-season renovations happening nearby, East Maple Avenue is poised to become one of Wildwood’s most transformed corridors over the next two years.
