New Location Confirmed in North Cape May

Bruni’s Pizza revealed that its next location will open in North Cape May, inside Breakwater Plaza. While an opening date has not yet been announced, the owners say they will continue to share updates as preparations move forward.

Breakwater Plaza at this time houses a few different businesses, including Dollar General, Pappy’s Pig Roast & Barbeque, the new Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, a thrift store, Candy K-9 Pet Grooming and a few other shops. It’s not clear which spot they will be taking.

The announcement follows months of speculation after Bruni’s former Cape May County shop in Rio Grande closed, leaving many loyal customers asking if the pizza spot would return to the area.

A Longtime South Jersey Favorite

Bruni’s Pizza is not new to South Jersey. The brand has been serving customers for decades, with its original location in Hammonton operating since the 1950s.

Over the years, Bruni’s built a strong following for its thin-crust pizza, signature sauce, and traditional New Jersey pizzeria menu.

That reputation followed the business to Cape May County, where many residents and seasonal visitors made it a regular stop.

When the Rio Grande location closed in late 2025, it left a noticeable gap for fans of the pizza, especially those who had been frequent customers for years.

Why North Cape May Makes Sense

The move to North Cape May places Bruni’s Pizza in a busy commercial corridor that sees steady traffic from both year-round locals and summer visitors.

Breakwater Plaza sits along a major route leading into Cape May, making it a great location ahead of the peak season.

While details about renovations, staffing, and a grand opening are still to come, the announcement alone sparked immediate excitement online, with many customers welcoming the return of a familiar favorite.

For now, Bruni’s Pizza says more information will be released soon. One thing is clear. Bruni’s is not gone, and Cape May County pizza fans will not have to wait much longer to get it back.
