New Shuttle Connects Wildwood to Cape May With Winery Stops This Summer
A brand new way to explore the Jersey Shore is launching just in time for the busy summer season, and it could be a game changer for both visitors and locals.
The Coastal Cruiser, a hop-on hop-off shuttle service powered by Metropolis Passenger Logistics, will officially connect The Wildwoods to Cape May, giving riders a stress-free way to travel between two of South Jersey’s most popular destinations.
Instead of worrying about traffic, parking, or designated drivers, riders can simply hop aboard and spend the day exploring wineries, breweries, distilleries, and more across Lower Cape May County.

A Shore Shuttle Focused on Experiences, Not Driving
The Coastal Cruiser isn’t just transportation, it’s being positioned as a full-day experience.
The route will include stops at some of the region’s most popular destinations including Hawk Haven Vineyard, Cape May Winery, Willow Creek Winery, Turdo Vineyards, Nauti Spirits, Cape May Brewery (located at the Cape May Airport), MudHen Brewing Company, and Behr Brewing.
There will also be a stop at the Cape May-Lewes Ferry, giving riders the option to extend their trip even further with a connection to Delaware.
The service begins at Atlantic Avenue and East Cedar Avenue in Wildwood, travels through key destinations across the county, and wraps up in Cape May at Rotary Park, right in the heart of the historic district.

The concept is simple and flexible.
Riders pay one flat daily fee and can hop on and off the shuttle as many times as they want throughout the day. Whether you want to spend an hour at a winery or make a full day of multiple stops, the schedule is designed to let you build your own itinerary.
Shuttles will arrive approximately every 20 to 30 minutes at each stop, making it easy to move around without long waits.
To make things even easier, riders can track shuttle locations in real time using a mobile app, removing the guesswork from planning your next stop.
Each vehicle will also be air-conditioned and equipped with bike racks, giving riders additional flexibility.

For its inaugural season, the Coastal Cruiser will operate on weekends only, running Saturdays and Sundays from 10 AM to 10 PM.
The service will launch Memorial Day Weekend and continue through Labor Day Weekend, aligning perfectly with the peak summer tourism season.
Ticket pricing is straightforward:
-
$40 when purchased in advance
-
$45 when purchased on-site
There is also a multi-day discount, with $5 off each additional day after the first.
Riders are allowed to bring one carry-on bag, with additional bags costing $25 each. Bikes are also permitted for a $35 fee.

Beyond convenience, the Coastal Cruiser is also being promoted as a more environmentally friendly transportation option.
By using a micro-shuttle model, the service reduces emissions per passenger compared to individual car trips or rideshare services, which could help cut down on congestion during the busy summer months.

For years, one of the biggest challenges for visitors has been safely navigating between The Wildwoods and Cape May, especially when alcohol is involved.
This new shuttle directly addresses that gap, offering a structured, reliable, and tech-enabled solution that encourages people to explore more of what the region has to offer.
It also opens the door for more cross-town tourism, allowing Wildwood visitors to easily experience Cape May’s wineries and historic downtown, while Cape May visitors can make their way up to the boardwalk without the hassle of driving.
While the Coastal Cruiser will initially run weekends only, the launch could serve as a test for expanded service in future seasons depending on demand.
If successful, it has the potential to become a staple of the Jersey Shore summer experience.
