One of the standout events is the Step Back Foundation’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt, taking place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Allen Park in North Wildwood.

This event has become a staple in the community, welcoming children in three age groups: 1 to 3 years old, 4 to 6 years old, and 7 to 10 years old.

The hunt provides a lively and festive setting where kids can search for eggs while families gather to celebrate the holiday.

Beyond the fun, the event also serves a meaningful purpose, as donations collected throughout the day support local student-athletes and families across Cape May County.

Later in the day, the action shifts to the beach for two separate free Easter egg hunts that bring a unique coastal twist to the tradition. The Greater Wildwood Jaycees will host their annual hunt at noon on the Lincoln Avenue beach.

Open to children 12 and younger, this event invites kids to search for colorful eggs hidden in the sand while enjoying ocean views and fresh sea air.

A highlight of the hunt is the chance to find a “golden egg,” which comes with a special prize, adding an extra layer of excitement for participants.

Elks Annual Easter Egg Hunt 2019At the same time, another free event will take place at the North Wildwood beach at 20th Avenue, hosted by the Elks. Designed for children 11 and younger, this hunt offers plenty of treats, festive energy, and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Families can expect a welcoming atmosphere as kids race to gather eggs scattered along the shoreline.

Together, these events showcase what makes the Wildwoods a destination for holiday celebrations: accessible, family-focused activities set against the backdrop of the Jersey Shore. Whether you start your morning at Allen Park or head straight to the beach for an afternoon hunt, Easter in North Wildwood offers something for every family looking to celebrate the season.
