Inside The Wild Resort: Wildwood’s New Luxury Boardwalk Hotel (Exclusive Tour)
You’ve been walking by it for the past few years, wondering when it will finally be done. Well, while I don’t have an exact opening date for you, I can pull back the curtain and give you a sneak preview of what will become one of the newest hotels in the Wildwoods.
You can scroll down to the bottom for the video.
In case you don’t know, over the past few years we’ve been watching a transformation take place at Glenwood Avenue and the Boardwalk.

Inside The Wild Resort – Wildwood’s New Luxury Boardwalk Hotel (Exclusive Tour)
For decades, the building sitting on that corner served as apartments. But as the years went on, much of the structure sat vacant and slowly fell into disrepair. It became one of those buildings that everybody noticed, but few people thought would ever come back to life. In case you’re still unable to place the building, it was once painted mustard yellow.
That changed in 2023 when work began on what is now known as the Wild Resort.
Over the past two and a half years, construction crews have completely transformed the property.
What was once an aging and largely abandoned building is now being turned into a five-story luxury hotel overlooking the Boardwalk and beach.
Recently, I had the chance to tour the property and see firsthand just how much progress has been made. Walking through the building, it’s hard to believe it’s the same structure that sat vacant for so many years.

The hotel will feature 75 guest rooms and suites, with many offering views of the Boardwalk and ocean. Some of the larger rooms will even include private jacuzzi tubs, giving guests a resort-style experience that hasn’t traditionally been common in Wildwood’s hotel market.
Depending on where your room is located, you’ll be able to wake up to views stretching across the beach, Morey’s Piers, and the Atlantic Ocean.
From some of the upper floors, the views are among the best you’ll find anywhere in Wildwood.
One of the biggest attractions will likely be the pool area. Located above Boardwalk level, the space is being designed as more than just a place to swim.
Guests will have access to a poolside restaurant where they can relax, grab a bite to eat, and enjoy views of the surrounding resort.
With the beach, Boardwalk, and ocean all within sight, it has the potential to become one of the most unique hotel amenities currently offered in the Wildwoods.
At this current stage of construction, crews have been framing out each of the floors while also running electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems throughout the building.

Walking through the hotel, many of the future guest rooms are now easy to identify, with metal stud walls outlining what will eventually become suites, hallways, and common areas.
Perhaps the most impressive part of the project isn’t the pool, the rooms, or even the views.
It’s the fact that developers were able to take a property that many considered beyond saving and completely reinvent it.
Instead of another vacant building sitting along the Boardwalk, the Wildwoods are gaining a new hotel that will soon welcome thousands of visitors each year.
What’s exciting about projects like this is that they tend to encourage other property owners to step up their game. Once this block is finished, it’s going to look completely different from how it did just a few years ago. If history has shown us anything, it’s that when one property invests in itself, others nearby often follow. Over time, that can have a huge impact on the overall look and feel of the Boardwalk.
