Dolce Italia Begins a New Era as La Siciliana Opens
After weeks of anticipation, today is the day.
La Siciliana by Dolce Italia officially opens its sit-down dining room and Italian market on Thursday, July 2, marking the next chapter for one of North Wildwood’s longtime family-owned Italian restaurants.

Located at 210 New Jersey Avenue, the restaurant has already been serving takeout, delivery, and pickup since last week. Now, customers can finally enjoy the full dine-in experience while browsing a market stocked with imported Italian products and authentic Sicilian specialties.
For many locals and visitors, the name Dolce Italia has been synonymous with homemade Italian food for nearly 30 years. While the restaurant has been rebranded as La Siciliana by Dolce Italia, the family says the recipes, pizzas, and commitment to quality that customers have come to expect aren’t going anywhere. Instead, this reopening represents a passing of the torch to the next generation.
The new owners say they’re building on the legacy created by their family while adding something even more personal: the flavors and traditions of Carini, Sicily, where their family’s story began.
Guests can expect new Sicilian-inspired dishes, family recipes, imported Italian products, and a stronger connection to the region that inspired the restaurant’s new identity.
“This isn’t just a reopening,” the family shared. “It’s a continuation of a family legacy built on hard work, sacrifice, passion, and love for good food.”
The restaurant’s Italian market and dining room will be open Thursday through Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., while the pizzeria will remain open until 10 p.m. most nights and 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The business is now closed every Wednesday for the season.
Whether you’ve been ordering from Dolce Italia for years or you’re looking to try authentic Sicilian cuisine for the first time, today marks the beginning of a new era for one of North Wildwood’s longtime family restaurants.
La Siciliana by Dolce Italia is located at 210 New Jersey Avenue in North Wildwood. This summer they will be open every day of the week but Wednesdays.
