Al the Steak King Is Coming Back to Wildwood!!!

Al the Steak King Is Coming Back to Wildwood!!!

For decades, Al the Steak King was one of those Wildwood food spots that people never forgot. Whether you stopped in for a late-night cheesesteak after the boardwalk or grabbed a slice of pizza during a summer vacation, the name became part of the memories many families made at the Jersey Shore.

They had two locations in the Wildwoods. One just off the boardwalk at 25th Street and another at 4014 Boardwalk (Spencer Avenue and the boardwalk).

Even if you never tried their food before, you may remember them because, at one point at their second location on the boardwalk, they had a giant red truck sticking out as their sign.

The truck hung over the boardwalk, which made people question whether or not it might fall down. It never did, by the way.

Now, after years of being remembered mostly through old photos and nostalgia posts, Al the Steak King is preparing to return to Wildwood.

The official announcement came from a brand new Facebook page titled Al, the Steak and Pizza King. In their first post, they said:

“A Wildwood legend is making its comeback. For years, Al the Steak King was a staple at the shore, known for legendary cheesesteaks, delicious pizza, late-night deliveries, and that iconic red van cruising through the Wildwoods. And now… the tradition continues.”

They later added:

“AL the STK & Pizza King is officially returning to North Wildwood this spring/summer, bringing back the flavors, memories, and classic favorites that generations have loved.”

Here is what we know so far.

Their new location will be at 2010 New Jersey Avenue in North Wildwood.

This is currently the location of Five Girls Sandwich Shop. There is no word yet on whether Five Girls will be moving to a new location or if they will be closing their doors.

When it comes to the menu, they say they will be featuring Legendary Cheesesteaks, Delicious Pizza, Pasta Dinners, Starters, and more, according to their Facebook post.

And lastly, they are hiring. If you are interested in working there, you can contact rose@Risewithrosepro.com.

Many are also asking if they should bring back the minivans and the refrigerator magnets.

Are you excited for their comeback? And if you could have one old-school Wildwood place reopen, what would it be?
