Avalon Prime Steakhouse Is Officially Open in Avalon, NJ
There’s a brand new steakhouse at the Jersey Shore that just opened its doors, and it’s bringing big-city steakhouse vibes to the island of Avalon. Say hello to Avalon Prime Steakhouse, now open at 105 80th Street, Avalon, NJ 08202, tucked inside the ICONA Windrift hotel.
The restaurant officially opened just in time for the 2025 summer season just in time for Memorial Day Weekend, but just last night they held their grand opening.

Since opening they have already making waves for its upscale atmosphere, prime cuts, and elevated cocktails.
Whether you’re a year-rounder or a seasonal Shore lover, Avalon Prime is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about additions to the island’s dining scene.
Avalon Prime blends the charm of a classic steakhouse with a light, modern coastal aesthetic—white linens, ambient lighting, and stylish finishes create a space that’s both refined and beach-town approachable.
And yes, it’s open to the public (you don’t have to be a hotel guest to dine here).
The menu is exactly what you’d expect from a high-end steakhouse—with a few surprises. Start with appetizers like their Lamb Lollipops, Windrift Deviled Eggs or Prime Seafood Tower.
For entrées, it’s all about prime steaks, from a 16 oz. New York Strip to a 18 oz. Cowboy Ribeye all the way to a 30 oz. prime grade Porterhouse.
There’s also a non-beef selection, including Prime Grilled Chicken, Maple Glazed Pork Chops, Blackened Fresh Halibut and the Kurtz Family Crab Cakes.
But take it from us, don’t skip out on the sides. The Brussel Sprouts, Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Truffle Fries are amazing.

Avalon Prime Steakhouse is open Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday & Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
