The establishment distinguished itself through a fusion of classic dishes, an expansive sushi menu, and an extensive selection of sake, all presented in a sophisticated and sensually upscale atmosphere.

Chef Schulson’s innovative approach to Japanese fare provided patrons with a contemporary dining experience that transported them to the heart of Japan.

The decision to close Izakaya, as revealed in a recent press release, is part of a strategic move aligning with the evolving goals of both Schulson Collective and Borgata. Despite the bittersweet closure, Chef Schulson remains optimistic about the future.

In 2024, he plans to introduce a new restaurant to the Atlantic City scene, promising a fresh culinary concept that will undoubtedly captivate the city’s food enthusiasts.

There is no hints yet on what kind of restaurant that will be but we know it will be something delicious.

Chef Schulson expressed gratitude to Borgata, acknowledging them as fantastic partners. He emphasized, “As our restaurant group continues to grow, we look forward to creating dynamic concepts in the Atlantic City market in the near future.”

This closure is not an end but a transition, paving the way for new possibilities and culinary adventures in the vibrant Atlantic City dining landscape.

As part of Schulson’s expansion plans, 2023 was a big year for him as he opened new restaurants in many cities such as Philadelphia, New York City, and Miami.

While bidding a fond farewell to Izakaya, the culinary world eagerly anticipates the innovative and enticing dining experiences that Chef Schulson will undoubtedly bring to the table in the coming years.
