Cape May’s “Fish House” Opens This Week at Sunset Beach!
After months of anticipation, Cape May’s newest dining hotspot, the “Fish House,” is finally opening its doors this Tuesday, August 13th, at 3 PM.
Back in April, the buzz started when it was revealed that something fresh was coming to Cape May’s beloved Sunset Beach.
Long-time visitors might remember “The Grill,” a cozy spot to the left of the flagpole, serving everything from breakfast to dinner for beachgoers. But change was on the horizon.
Enter Ross and Lauren, the dynamic duo behind Taco Caballito, who teamed up with the Hume family, owners of Sunset Beach, to bring us the “Fish House.”
Under their “Zest” brand, Ross and Lauren have been making waves across the area, with popular spots like Taco Caballito, Port, and the soon-to-open Goat House.
Port, which just opened a few weeks ago, has already become a must-visit for locals and tourists alike.

Now, the “Fish House” is set to make its mark. Starting fresh, the original building was demolished to make way for a larger space, perfectly suited to a more extensive menu and a broader selection.
Inspired by the Atlantic Ocean and coastal culinary traditions, the Fish House is a love letter to the classic seafood shacks and vibrant beach bars that dot the East Coast.
The menu will feature craft sandwiches, fresh seafood, locally made ice cream, and much more. And, of course, what could be better than sipping a glass of wine or a cocktail while watching the sunset?
While the official menu and hours haven’t been released yet, we’ve had a sneak peek through some preview photos shared in their announcement.
We’re sure Ross and Lauren will hit another home run with this one!
Good luck to the team as they bring their latest venture to life!
