Cape May’s coffee shop, Coffee Tyme, is brewing up something special for the upcoming summer season.

In a surprise announcement on social media, the family-owned business revealed plans to open a brand-new location in North Cape May, right where Donut Connection once stood at 3850 Bayshore Road.

Coffee Tyme has long been a staple for locals and visitors alike, known for its fresh coffee, baked goods, and cozy beach-town vibe.

With two thriving locations in Cape May—one on the Washington Street Mall and the other on Beach Avenue—the decision to expand into North Cape May marks a major milestone for the business.

“We have exciting news!” the team shared on Facebook. “We are opening up a new Coffee Tyme in North Cape May! We will be located where Donut Connection was at 3850 Bayshore Road. Our goal is to have it open by Memorial Day Weekend—and yes, we will continue selling Donut Connection’s delicious donuts!”

That last part is music to the ears of longtime Donut Connection fans. The shop, which quietly closed its doors earlier this year, was known for its classic donuts and loyal customer base.

By preserving that sweet tradition, Coffee Tyme is blending the best of both worlds: their own signature coffee experience with the donuts that locals already know and love.

The new location is expected to draw in both year-round residents and summer tourists who frequent the Bayshore Road corridor.

It also fills a much-needed coffee-and-breakfast void in North Cape May, offering another option for early risers looking for their caffeine fix.

With an eye on tradition and community, the expansion of Coffee Tyme is shaping up to be a win-win for the Cape.

Whether you’re a loyal customer or a newcomer to the area, this new spot is definitely one to keep on your radar.

Stay tuned for updates as the grand opening approaches. We wish Leigha and Jesse the best of luck with their new location! Follow them on Facebook for more details.

One thing’s for sure—this summer just got a little more caffeinated since there could be another coffee spot opening up in Cape May County (details soon).
