This long-awaited transformation is bringing new life to the building, which had sat vacant for years.
Now, work crews are busy inside and outside, preparing the space for what is expected to be one of Wildwood’s most exciting new dining and entertainment spots.

First Look – La Cantina Wildwood
Crew just recently created two large openings in the front of the building which will become the new rolling windows. This would be the first time this building has ever had windows.
For those unfamiliar, La Cantina is being developed by the same ownership behind Santorini and Venezia, two highly successful Wildwood restaurants known for their quality food and inviting atmospheres.
The plan for La Cantina is to blend a lively Mexican-inspired dining experience with a vibrant nightlife scene, filling a much-needed niche in the heart of the island.
From the outside, visitors can already see signs of change. The façade is being updated, and one of the most notable additions will be glass garage doors, giving the restaurant an open-air feel during the warmer months.

Landscaping and greenery will also be incorporated, further enhancing the modern yet tropical aesthetic that the owners are aiming for.
Inside, expect a bold and stylish design. Early concept details point to a mix of warm earthy tones, playful patterns, and lush greenery hanging from the ceilings.
The goal is to create a comfortable and fun environment that transports guests to a beachside cantina, complete with upbeat energy and a social vibe.
Of course, food will be a major highlight. The menu will feature Mexican classics with a modern twist, including favorites like fajitas, tacos, and quesadillas.
And no Tex-Mex spot would be complete without margaritas—La Cantina plans to serve up a variety of cocktails that pair perfectly with their flavorful dishes.
Beyond dining, La Cantina is also gearing up to be a go-to nightlife destination. Plans include live music, DJ sets, and Latin-themed nights, making it a new hotspot for both locals and visitors looking to enjoy a night out.
The owners are targeting a spring opening, with hopes to welcome their first guests as early as March.
Given their track record of running successful restaurants, there’s a lot of excitement surrounding this project.
We’ll keep you posted as work progresses—stay tuned for more updates on La Cantina’s grand debut in Wildwood!
