Escaping the Heatwave – North Wildwood Beach Day Vlog
As the Tri-State area faces a tough heatwave, the idea of being stuck at work instead of relaxing at the beach feels worse than ever.
With temperatures set to rise steadily, peaking in the mid-90s, the National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather advisory for Southern Connecticut, Northeast New Jersey, and Southeast New York.
The increasing humidity will push heat index values above 100, making it feel even hotter.
Fortunately for those in South Jersey, the nights will offer some relief, with temperatures dropping to the high sixties or low seventies.
The Heat advisory will remain in effect from 10 am on Tuesday until 6 am on Wednesday but there is an Excessive Heat Watch, from Wednesday morning through Saturday evening.
In times like these, there’s nothing better than a refreshing trip to the Jersey Shore.
The beach offers a perfect escape from the scorching heat, with its cool ocean breezes and refreshing waters. For those who can’t make it down to the beach, don’t worry – we’ve got you covered.

The Wildwood Video Archive recently captured a beautiful day at the beach in North Wildwood, providing a perfect virtual escape to help you beat the heat.
You can watch that vlog at the bottom of this article.
Even though the air temperature feels like a scorching 104°F, the water temperature in Wildwood Crest is a refreshing 66.2°F.
The contrast between the hot air and the cool water creates an ideal situation for cooling off and enjoying a swim.
The initial shock of the cool water quickly turns into a refreshing embrace, making the heat seem like a distant memory.
You could do what we suggest and just run extremely fast into the water and dive it. The good-ole “ripping off the band-aid” trick seems to work.
While we know not everyone can escape to the beach, our video aims to bring a slice of North Wildwood to you.
So sit back, relax, and let the sights and sounds of the ocean transport you.
Whether you’re watching from your air-conditioned living room or taking a break at work, this virtual beach day is sure to provide a moment of cool, coastal bliss during this relentless heatwave.
