FIRST LOOK La Cantina Wildwood Is Opening SOON!
Located at 218 E Schellenger Ave in Wildwood, the Hurricane Night Club had sat abandoned for the past few years but that’s where Florian Furxhiu stepped into the picture.
Furxhiu has become one of the driving forces behind Wildwood’s modern restaurant renaissance. Over the past few years, he’s launched two highly acclaimed eateries:
- Santorini at 517 W Rio Grande Avenue, a Mediterranean-inspired escape known for its upscale seaside flavors
- Venezia at 4801 Pacific Avenue, an elegant Italian spot with contemporary flair
Now, with La Cantina, he’s setting his sights on something entirely new — a Tex-Mex–themed experience that combines mouthwatering cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, and Wildwood’s classic summer energy.

According to Furxhiu, La Cantina will be more than just a restaurant — it will be an experience and from what we have seen inside so far, he is not wrong.
They have completely gutted the entire building to the point where you’d barely recognize it as the former Hurricane Night Club.
The old dance floors, DJ booths, and nightclub lighting have all been removed, making way for a bright, modern, and welcoming layout that fits La Cantina’s fresh vision.
New walls, new floors, and a completely redesigned bar area are just the beginning.
The space now features high ceilings, custom tile work, and plenty of natural light streaming in from the massive new front-facing garage doors.
They even added a massive stage so that they have have live Latino bands perform.
The transformation is dramatic — it’s not just a cosmetic upgrade, it’s a full-blown reinvention.
On the food side, La Cantina promises Tex-Mex favorites and elevated Latino dishes. We don’t have a full menu yet but highlights from the menu include queso fundido, birria tacos, fajitas, and quesadillas
But we know you will be there for the drinks and well for that we already saw a preview. They will have craft cocktails like the Jalapeño Mango Margarita, the Paloma Traditional, Oaxaca Old Fashion, the Coco-Loco and more.
They also have the largest list of Tequilas that I have ever seen from La Pulga, Casamigos and Don Julio.
Luckily for us, we were able to film our experience for you to see before they open. You can watch that below (and please subscribe)
From top to bottom, La Cantina is shaping up to be one of Wildwood’s most ambitious restaurant projects in years.
It’s not just a new restaurant — it’s a statement that the Wildwood dining and nightlife scene is evolving in bold and exciting ways.
