Holly Beach Café Opening in Wildwood This Summer

Holly Beach Café Opening in Wildwood This Summer

It is finally happening.

If you’ve been following development in Wildwood over the past few years, you might remember that back around the pandemic, there was a pretty exciting announcement.  Milkweed Table + Market was planning to open a location right on Pacific Avenue in Wildwood.

At the time, the plan was for it to take over the former Bonelli’s Market building at 4000 Pacific Avenue. It seemed like a perfect fit. A fresh, modern market and café concept coming to a highly visible stretch of the island, something that many felt Wildwood could really use.

But then, like so many other projects during that time, everything hit a wall.

The pandemic made it incredibly difficult to launch new businesses, especially in a seasonal shore town where timing is everything.

As months turned into years, updates became scarce, and eventually, the building itself was demolished. With no new information released, many assumed the project had quietly fallen through.

For a while, it looked like Milkweed Table + Market in Wildwood was simply never going to happen.

Milkweed Table + Market is a boutique brunch café and market concept based in Pitman, New Jersey, and it’s not just a typical breakfast spot.

It opened in 2021 and was created by two sisters-in-law, Alexandra and Elena Convery, who built the brand around hospitality, design, and a curated brunch experience.

The whole concept blends elevated brunch food, a visually styled, almost boutique-like interior, and a “gathering space” vibe centered on community and experience. Their goal wasn’t just food. It was to create something that feels designed and intentional.

But now, we finally have an official update and a new direction for the concept.

Instead of opening as part of the Milkweed Table + Market brand, the owner has announced a sister restaurant that will be taking its place. The new concept is called Holly Beach Café, and it’s officially set to open this summer in Wildwood at 3007 Pacific Ave.

This location used to be home to the Pacific Ave Mini Mart & Juice Bar. No word if they are opening a new location somewhere else on the island.

The announcement came directly from the Milkweed Table + Market Facebook page, where the owner shared the news with followers.

“As many of you know, I’ve been putting a lot into my solo project, and I’m thrilled to announce that Holly Beach Café will be opening this summer in Wildwood.”

They later added, “I can’t wait to bring a beachy, bohemian brunch vibe to the shore, especially for all my beach lovers out there. Wildwood has been my summer home since I was a child and it definitely needed something like this, and I’m beyond excited.”

That “beachy, bohemian brunch vibe” is something we really haven’t seen much of on the island, especially along Pacific Avenue, which has been slowly evolving with new businesses and redevelopment projects over the past few years.

While specific details like the exact menu, opening date, and final build-out haven’t been released yet, the concept alone already gives a clear direction. Expect something lighter, trendier, and likely very Instagram-friendly. Think brunch-focused offerings, coffee, and a relaxed coastal aesthetic designed to stand out.

The Wildwood Video Archive did reach out to Milkweed Table + Market for additional details and confirmation on the location, but as of now, we haven’t heard back.

Thanks to our friend, Mark from 42freeway, we were able to see some photos inside. As you can see, the building has been gutted to prepare for Holly Beach Café.
