Demolition crews, led by Greg Lertch, initiated the teardown at 9:30 a.m. on a Wednesday morning this past week, dismantling the memories of an era that defined Seaside Heights nightlife.

Karma rose to prominence during the initial seasons of MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” where the likes of Snooki, The Situation, and their boisterous crew turned the club into a symbol of uninhibited revelry. The vibrant scenes of the cast partying with locals and housemates etched Karma into the annals of reality television history.

The club’s narrative took a darker turn in its final year under then-owner John Saddy, as reports of underage drinking and overdoses surfaced. A court-ordered injunction five years ago sealed Karma’s fate, and the club closed its doors for the last time in 2018. The property faced additional woes, leading to its auction in 2020.

Meanwhile, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, never one to shy away from a comeback, responded to a detractor with a witty retort on Twitter, defending the cast against ill wishes.

Jenni “JWoww” Farley took a more somber approach, expressing her sentiments with a simple “Rip” alongside a tombstone emoji on her Instagram Story.
