Inside The New Wildwood Boardwalk Starbucks

The latest Starbucks location has officially opened on the Wildwood Boardwalk.

After several months of uncertainty about whether it would open this year, as of Monday, August 5th, you can now enjoy your favorite Starbucks treat while walking the nearly 2-mile-long Wildwood Boardwalk.

This Wildwood Boardwalk Starbucks is the first of its kind on the Wildwood Boardwalk.

The only other Starbucks presence on the boardwalk was when Morey’s Piers had a “proudly serve” section in the middle of Mariner’s Pier (then called Mariner’s Landing).

This new location is a full-fledged Starbucks.

Located on the corner of Glenwood and the Boardwalk, this Starbucks marks the beginning of significant changes coming to the area.

For the past few decades, the two-story motel at this location had been abandoned and was a major eyesore on the boardwalk. At one point, it was painted an unattractive yellow, and its roof was leaking into the businesses below.

Recently, the property was sold, and it was announced that the entire block would be renovated and a new hotel called The Wild Resort would be built.

The Wild Resort is a massive development that will see the entire facade of the Boardwalk’s retail stores undergo renovations. The project includes a hotel lobby and cafe on the Boardwalk, a second-floor restaurant and pool, as well as hotel rooms and luxury suites with private balconies overlooking the ocean.

There aren’t many hotels and motels directly on the boardwalk, so once this one is completed, it is sure to be highly sought after.

In the main mockup of the project, you can see in the top right corner that a cafe was planned for the boardwalk. That cafe is now the Starbucks location, and it looks beautiful inside and out.

Before you walk in, you’ll notice that this location is enclosed in glass and fully air-conditioned, which is rare on the boardwalk where most places have open garage-style fronts.

Once inside, the location has a distinct Wildwood style. As the Wildwoods are known for their Doo-Wop look, this new Starbucks features a lot of Mid-Century Modern vibes.

Mid-Century Modern furniture and paintings are placed throughout, with beautifully curved walls.

Since this is a full-fledged Starbucks, you can expect to receive the same kinds of drinks, snacks, cups, and service as any standalone location.

They plan to be open every day from 8 AM until 8 PM, though it should be noted that this is a seasonal location. There is no date yet for when they will close for the season.

It should also be noted that this location, just like the one at Rio Grande and Park Boulevard, does not have a bathroom. This is because there are public restrooms next to the building on the boardwalk end.

If you are looking to get coffee on the go, this location is on the Starbucks app. Just open the app, create an account, and order any coffee you want.
