Johnnie’s Italian Specialties to Open “Johnnie’s By the Sea” in Wildwood
Wildwood food enthusiasts, prepare to savor a taste of Italian delight right by the shore! Johnnie’s Italian Specialties, celebrated for its delectable Italian cuisine and authentic flavors, is expanding to Wildwood with a new location aptly named “Johnnie’s By the Sea.”
Many may recognize Johnnie’s Italian Specialties from its popular main location at 2240 South 12th Street in Philadelphia.
The new Wildwood location will be situated at the corner of Pacific and Glenwood Avenues, specifically at 3001 Pacific Ave, bringing a fresh culinary experience to the island.
This address holds sentimental value for locals and visitors alike, as it has been home to several cherished eateries over the years.
Initially, it housed Gia’s Restaurant, operated by Bethie and Vince Chiarella, which earned a loyal following for its delicious offerings.
Their daughter, Mia, later opened Mia Mia Prime Steak House and Raw Bar in the same spot, quickly becoming a favorite with its focus on contemporary American cuisine.
Mia’s culinary talents can now be enjoyed at her new establishment, “Primal,” located at 406 Beach Ave in Cape May. Following Mia Mia, the location became home to One Fish Two Fish, a seafood restaurant known for its innovative dishes and intimate atmosphere.
Now, Johnnie’s By the Sea is set to continue the tradition of providing excellent dining experiences, this time with a distinctive Italian twist.
Johnnie’s Italian Specialties has earned a reputation for its classic Italian dishes, made with love and the freshest ingredients.

From hearty pasta dishes to savory meatballs and perfectly seasoned Italian sausages, every dish is a nod to traditional Italian cooking, focusing on authenticity and flavor.
Patrons can expect the same dedication to quality at Johnnie’s By the Sea.
The menu is likely to feature fan favorites like homemade lasagna, eggplant parmesan, and chicken marsala, alongside an array of freshly prepared pastas, sauces, and daily specials.
While a menu for the new location has not been posted online yet, excitement is building.
A small banner announcing “Johnnie’s By the Sea” was hung on the corner of the property just this morning, confirming the new addition to Wildwood’s culinary scene.
In recent weeks, work has been noticed inside the building, with crews remodeling to bring a new Italian feel to the space.
As of now, there is no official word on the opening date. The Wildwood Video Archive stopped by the location, but no one was available to provide more details.
We wish Johnnie’s By the Sea the best of luck in their new location and look forward to enjoying their delicious Italian offerings soon!
