he area for a few decades. It closed last year leaving behind a large 62,000 square foot empty space in the shopping center.

During a meeting on October 9th, New Jersey Freeholders voted to lease the Kmart space and turn them into office space for the County and State Government. There are also talks for future veterans medical clinic.

The state would lease the building for $620K a year with an twelve and half percent increase every five years. The signed lease in for a minimal of twenty years.

The current veterans medical clinic is located at Coast Guard Training Center in Cape May. Moving the clinic to Kmart would make for a more centralized location for the clinic.
