Last Check Out At The Hotel Ocean Crest
The Ocean Crest was a Victorian style hotel that stood for nearly a century at the north end of Wildwood Crest on the northeast corner of Buttercup and Pacific Avenues until it was demolished in December 2001. I was always enchanted by this green and white giant with its pointed turrets and was deeply saddened by the loss of it. I visited the dilapidated property and its grounds in its final days during which time I explored the grand old hotel from top to bottom. What a place it must have been in those glory days. The date and time display remains a constant throughout my video and for that I apologize, but I hope you enjoy the look back at this beautiful old hotel which I still visualize on that corner to this day.
