Look Inside Wildwoods New Night Clubs

Look Inside Wildwoods New Night Clubs

Wildwood, New Jersey, has always been renowned for its vibrant boardwalk, stunning beaches, and dynamic entertainment scene, captivating visitors from near and far. From the 1950s to the 1990s, the city thrived with a bustling nightlife, boasting a multitude of nightclubs that attracted crowds from all along the East Coast.

Pacific Avenue emerged as the epicenter of this thriving nightclub scene, housing legendary establishments like Club Shakers, Penalty Box, the Shamrock, and the Oasis. Another notable hotspot during the 1980s was the Fairview, situated on Pacific Avenue.

Memories of the Fairview center around its diverse musical offerings, featuring multiple dance floors that catered to various genres such as rock, disco, and new wave. The club exuded an electric and vibrant atmosphere, making it a beloved destination for both locals and tourists alike.

However, as the 2000s unfolded, the nightclub scene in Wildwood gradually faded away. Clubs began closing their doors, and the focal point of entertainment shifted from Pacific Avenue to Olde New Jersey Avenue in North Wildwood.

In recent years, the Wildwood Video Archive has closely followed the development of The Residences on Pacific. Nestled at 3601-3615 Pacific Avenue, at the intersection of Schellenger and Pacific, this 64-room hotel was constructed by BG Capital.

As of now, this project is now called “Seaport Suites,” which keeps the theming behind most of  BG Capital’s projects.

BG Capital has emerged as a key player in the revitalization of Wildwood, New Jersey. With their ownership of prominent establishments like Seaport Pier, Seaport Inn, EXIT 6 bar, and Exit 4 Bar, along with their ongoing project to construct 38 dwellings on Magnolia Avenue, aptly named Oasis, they have successfully breathed new life into long-dormant areas of the city.

Their commitment and efforts have proven instrumental in rejuvenating previously stagnant regions that had remained untouched for decades.

Their initial plans for The Residences on Pacific included a ground-level space designated for an unnamed nightclub venue and resturant. Many wondered what kind of venue would take this place as construction moved on.

It was unveiled back in Early May that this space would house three distinct nightclubs and a restaurant named “Fairview Social,” “Four Cast Day Club,” and “VYCE,” conceived by entrepreneur and DJ Jason Weiss. Weiss, a highly regarded local DJ, earned the title of the best DJ in Atlantic City in 2021.

Each nightclub within the complex, interlinked to one another, offers a unique ambiance and experience. The Fairview Social pays homage to its historic predecessor with a lounge-like atmosphere, featuring comfortable booths and a spacious central bar. This is a bar and restaurant that will service top-notch food while giving off a great vibe.

Continuing the journey through the building, patrons encounter VYCE, a traditional nightclub layout complete with a DJ booth and mesmerizing smoke cannons, evoking an energetic vibe that beckons the crowd to dance the night away.

Anticipation runs high for the most eagerly awaited club, the Four Cast Day Club. Its inviting pool area is poised to become the ultimate hangout spot. For those less inclined to swim, the outdoor bar and lounge chairs offer a perfect retreat to sip refreshing beverages and bask in the sun.

Although some of these nightclubs have had soft openings, they have yet to establish a consistent schedule of operation. Their social media pages showcased a Grand Opening this past weekend, but no hours have been posted for this upcoming week.

The Wildwood Video Archive extends its best wishes to BG Capital for its endeavors in this exciting venture.

With the revival of these nightclubs, Wildwood’s nightlife is on the cusp of a renaissance, recapturing the spirit of its golden era. As visitors and locals converge upon Pacific Avenue once more, a new chapter unfolds, filled with excitement, music, and the promise of unforgettable nights in this beloved coastal destination.

Speaking of new places to check out this summer, the new Showboat waterpark, Island Waterpark, will officially open its doors on Friday, June 30th.

The Wildwood Video Archive stopped by this past week for the opening preview party. There the WVA filmed an entire walking tour of the new facilities.
