McCoy’s Coffee & Cereal Bar Sold in North Wildwood
It’s very rare to see a restaurant in the Wildwoods change hands in the middle of the summer.
But that’s exactly what’s happening in North Wildwood.
The official announcement came this past week when McCoy’s Coffee & Cereal Bar shared on social media that the business has been sold after five years and will be transitioning to new owners over the next few weeks.

In the post, the McCoy family reflected on taking a chance by opening the business just after the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We took a risk and started from scratch in an abandoned building five years ago (just after COVID) and it’s changed our lives forever,” they wrote. “We even picked up our lives and moved to this happy little island and never looked back.”
The family thanked what they described as the “tens of thousands of customers and friends” who have supported the business since it opened and announced they’re passing the torch to another local family.
Nick and Haley, the owners of Wildwood Sips and Sandwiches, will officially take over the business.
Shortly after McCoy’s made its announcement, Wildwood Sips and Sandwiches introduced itself on social media.
“We’re taking over a family-owned business in Wildwood. We will be keeping their coffees and breakfast sandwiches the same and extending our menu and hours. We’ll be adding hoagies,” the business wrote.
Based on the menu they shared, customers can expect a much larger selection than before.
Along with the breakfast sandwiches that regular customers already know, the new menu includes nearly a dozen different hoagies, wraps, beach trays designed for families, snacks, drinks, and additional lunch options. Let us add, they will also deliver to the beach
The goal appears to be turning the restaurant into a breakfast and lunch destination while keeping the favorites that built McCoy’s loyal customer base.
The transition will happen quickly.
McCoy’s announced it will be closed Monday through Thursday while preparations begin for the ownership change. The shop will reopen Friday from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m., with Saturday, August 1st marking the McCoy family’s final day operating the restaurant.
The new owners are scheduled to officially open the doors of Wildwood Sips and Sandwiches on Monday, August 3.
