Meet the Newest Members of the Ocean City Police K-9 Unit
The Ocean City Police Department proudly announced the addition of four new members to its K-9 Unit following a rigorous training program at the Atlantic County John “Sonny” Burke Police K9 Academy.

Meet the Newest Members of the Ocean City Police K-9 Unit
Patrolman Ogule and his K-9 partner Onyx, along with Patrolman Diggons and his K-9 partner Midnight, officially graduated from the academy and are now fully certified to serve the Ocean City community.
The training course, known for its intensity and high standards, ensures that both handlers and their canine partners are prepared for a wide range of law enforcement duties, including suspect tracking, search and rescue, narcotics detection, and community outreach.

“This marks an exciting new chapter for our department,” said an OCPD spokesperson on Facebook. “These officers and their K-9 partners have demonstrated outstanding dedication and teamwork throughout their training, and we are confident they will make a strong and positive impact in the field.”
K-9 Onyx and K-9 Midnight are now among the department’s elite tools for public safety and community service.
As the summer season approaches and Ocean City sees an influx of residents and tourists, the presence of these trained K-9 units will enhance public safety efforts.
The Ocean City Police Department extends its congratulations to the new teams and looks forward to seeing them in action, protecting and serving the city with loyalty, skill, and strength.
