Monsters Have Taken Over the Wildwoods! The Mayhem Zone Mini Golf
Something wild is happening on the Wildwood Boardwalk…monsters have officially taken over, and their lair is The Mayhem Zone!
Located at 3800 Boardwalk (inside the Boardwalk Mall), this brand-new indoor attraction unleashes 18 holes of monster-themed, glow-in-the-dark mini golf… and it’s like nothing else at the Jersey Shore.
As you may know, the Wildwoods are home to about a dozen mini golf courses. They’re so popular, in fact, that the hit ABC TV show Holey Moley was inspired in part by someone who once worked as a lifeguard in North Wildwood!
But The Mayhem Zone breaks away from the traditional tiki and pirate themes you’re used to.
The Wildwood Video Archive swung by to check it out, and from the moment you walk through the doors, it’s like stepping into another world.

Here, it’s all about creepy creatures, glowing colors, and spooky fun under blacklights.
Giant eyeballs, wacky monsters, and neon obstacles light up each hole, turning a casual game of putt-putt into a wild journey through mayhem and madness.
Some of the monstrous creatures inside The Mayhem Zone aren’t just hanging around—they’re wreaking havoc on iconic pieces of Wildwood history!
As you wind through the 18-hole course, you’ll notice several familiar landmarks caught in the chaos.
One massive scene shows Kong, a towering beast straight out of a classic movie, tearing apart the legendary “Welcome to the Wildwoods” sign, piece by glowing piece.
Just when you think things couldn’t get wilder, you come across the world-famous Wildwood Tram Car—or what’s left of it. A ferocious Minotaur, with glowing red eyes and giant horns, is mid-stomp, crushing the tram into splinters as if to say “Watch the monster, please!”
And let’s not forget our brave lifeguards. Even a classic Wildwood Beach Patrol lifeguard boat isn’t safe. One scene shows it snapped clean in half.
These over-the-top scenes are not only a blast to look at, but they also tie in Wildwood’s iconic local symbols with creative monster madness—making The Mayhem Zone a uniquely Jersey Shore experience you won’t find anywhere else.
Tickets run $14–$18 per person, with 10% off for groups of four or more. Open daily from 10 am to 8pm during the season. (you need to jump on their website for the limited-time discount)
Plus while you are here you can stop by the Old-Time Photo Studio, where you can throw on vintage costumes and leave with a fun, frame-worthy souvenir. Whether you want to be a cowboy, gangster, or flapper, they’ve got it.
So if you’re looking for something new to do in Wildwood that’s fun, weird, and a little unexpected—The Mayhem Zone might just be your next boardwalk tradition.
