New Airshow Coming to Atlantic City

The skies over Atlantic City will once again be filled with high-flying action this summer as the popular airshow makes its highly anticipated return.

This comes after The Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce’s comments last year which stated that they weren’t going to bring the show back.

Renamed the Visit Atlantic City Soar & Shore Festival, the event is set to take place on Tuesday, July 15, and Wednesday, July 16.

The announcement comes as a joint effort between Visit Atlantic City and Herb Gillen Airshows, bringing back one of the region’s most beloved summer traditions.

“The airshow has always been an incredibly popular event in Atlantic City, and we are excited to be able to partner with Herb Gillen Airshows to bring back this experience for our locals and visitors alike,” said Gary Musich, President and CEO of Visit Atlantic City.

City officials have also voiced strong support for the event, recognizing its significant impact on local businesses, casinos, and the broader tourism industry.

“The airshow is important for our casinos, businesses, and for our tourism and hospitality industry as a whole, and the Small administration has always offered our support to do what needs to be done to make sure this event lives on,” stated Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small, Sr.

Organizers are promising an adrenaline-pumping experience for all attendees. “We are thrilled to share with Atlantic City the incredible jaw-dropping, heart-pounding excitement that only an air show can deliver,” said Herb Gillen, president of Herb Gillen Airshows. “The Visit Atlantic City Soar & Shore Festival promises to be an entertainment spectacle that must be seen to be believed. From families to devout aviation enthusiasts, this show will have something for everyone.”

This year’s event is part of a broader effort by Visit Atlantic City to reimagine and enhance local events, working alongside the Greater Atlantic City Chamber to bring an innovative approach to the airshow experience.

This now gives New Jersey visitors two chances this summer to experience airshows on the Jersey beaches.

While the Soar & Shore Festival will be happening in July, the Wildwoods will be hosting their own air-show “‘Thunder Over the Ocean Airshow” September 5th – 6th.
