New Jersey Storm Aftermath 1960 Wildwood Writer June 18, 2016 Wildwood Extras 4091 Here is a short but cool film showing the damage from a storm sometime in the 1960s. Because there is no date I am going to guess that this video was from the September 12, 1960 hurricane. Hurricane Donna was the only tropical cyclone to bring hurricane force winds to all the East Coast states. As Donna passed New Jersey she was a Category 2 hurricane with wind gusts up to 105 miles per hour. No deaths occurred but the shore line took a big beating.
