NEW – The Residences at Pacific
It’s been almost two years since the iconic Shamrock Beef & Ale at 3700 Pacific Ave in Wildwood closed its doors. While its main building was moved just down the street, the emptied lot has been sitting there waiting for its new project to begin.
While many scream for no more condos, that is exactly what will be taking its place.
This is part of The Pacific Avenue Redevelopment Zoning District, which established regulations and guidelines for the development of the area to help encourage revitalization and economic growth.
A third party came into the area for a few years to evaluate what would help this area and the #1 thing was more residential units.
It is the hope that with more residents living on Pacific Avenue, it could drive revenue into the local businesses which in turn would bring Pacific Avenue back to life.
The formal plans for The Residences at Pacific were submitted to city hall this past April with approval the following month.
The application called to subdivide the two (2) currently existing lots that make up the property through a minor subdivision and to create four (4) total lots.
Each of these will contain one (1) of the four (4) total buildings that house the proposed twenty (20) residential units.
The units would all come with 2-car parking spots and a shared private pool.
BG Capital, which owns Seaport Pier, Seaport Suites, Seaport Inn, and the Oasis by Seaport, is the mastermind behind this new major project.
In a press release they said;
“These elegant 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom retreat-like vacation homes promise to offer the perfect blend of modern comfort and coastal charm. With its impeccable design, high-end features, and prime location, this will be the epitome of coastal living at its finest.”
Since these will be built on The Pacific Avenue Redevelopment Zoning District, owners will get a 20-year tac abatement.
The Residences at Pacific is being built by the prestigious developer M.W. Mitchell, from designs by Brian Newswanger of Atlantes Architects.
