North Wildwood Mayor Patrick Rosenello Announces He Will Not Seek Re-Election
Mayor Rosenello, who has called North Wildwood home for decades, has been a driving force in the community, tackling major issues like beach erosion, storm recovery, and infrastructure improvements.
Under his leadership, North Wildwood navigated crises such as Winter Storm Jonas, the COVID-19 pandemic, and ongoing coastal challenges, all while maintaining its reputation as one of the most beloved Jersey Shore destinations.

His tenure saw significant improvements to the boardwalk, local parks, and city services–all aimed at making North Wildwood a better place to live and visit.
However, while he is stepping down as mayor, Rosenello isn’t leaving public service entirely. Instead, he has announced plans to run for City Council, returning to his roots to continue working toward the city’s future. “North Wildwood still has work to do, and I believe I can continue to contribute to our shared goals in a different capacity,” he stated.

As Rosenello prepares to transition from his mayoral role, he has endorsed Council President Sal Zampirri as his successor, along with Councilwoman Peggy Bishop and newcomer Cheryl Crowe for City Council.

Reflecting on his time in office, Rosenello shared his appreciation for the community, city staff, and council members who have supported him throughout his tenure.
He also looks forward to spending more time with his wife, Michelle, and their three sons, who have grown up during his years in office.

His leadership has left a lasting mark on the city, and while his role may be changing, his passion for North Wildwood remains as strong as ever.
Congratulations, Mayor Rosenello, on an incredible tenure–and best of luck in your next chapter!
