North Wildwood’s NEW Beach Bar is Open! – FIRST LOOK

North Wildwood’s NEW Beach Bar is Open! – FIRST LOOK

It is official, folks, The Wildwood’s new beach bar is opening this Friday, May 30th.

In case you missed it, a few weeks back, we made the announcement that a new beach bar would be coming to the island.

Despite having the largest and cleanest beaches in the state, the island only had two beach bars: Morey’s PigDog Beach Bar at the end of Mariner’s Pier and the Star Bar tucked behind ICONA in Diamond Beach.

Morey’s PigDog Beach Bar has grown over the past few years from just the bar in the back to a massive site which includes cabanas, games, hammocks and of course, a place for your dog to hang out.

The success of that beach bar has inspired a new wave of beachfront development, proving that visitors are eager for more laid-back, toes-in-the-sand experiences.

Its growing popularity has shown that there’s a strong demand for casual coastal dining and entertainment, setting the stage for other potential beachside venues to pop up across the island.

A few years ago, the owners of Seaport Pier, located at 22nd Street and the Boardwalk, submitted an application for a CAFRA report to the State of New Jersey for said Beach Bar.

While the approval went through last year, since there was no time to build said beach bar, it was pushed for this summer.

After a few short weeks of construction, said beach bar is complete.

The official announcement of the opening of the bar came from the Seaport Pier Facebook page who also uploaded photos (as seen in this article).

The post simply says, “SEAPORT PIER BEACH BAR WILL BE OPEN THIS WEEKEND!” *weather permitting

Which, let’s be honest, we haven’t had the best weather in New Jersey or Pennsylvania in quite some time.

To start, the beach bar will be open daily at 11:30 AM, with operating hours expected to expand as we move deeper into the summer season.

They’ll be running a limited menu to start, focused on classic beach bites perfect for grabbing and going or enjoying in a lounge chair with your toes in the sand.

Think cold sandwiches, wraps, dips, fruit bowls, soft pretzels, hoagies, and of course, cheeseburgers and hot dogs.

It’s a laid-back, no-fuss selection designed to match the beachy atmosphere and keep lines moving quickly during those hot summer afternoons.

It’s important to note that no alcohol will be permitted to leave the gated beach bar area. To ensure safety and compliance, all entrances and exits will be monitored during all hours of operation.

This means you CANNOT take your drinks to the water.

If you’re wondering what happens to the bar once fall rolls around, don’t worry—it’s designed to be 100% temporary.

That means it can be disassembled and removed before hurricane season and those unpredictable Nor’easters hit the coast.

With summer just getting started, the arrival of this new beach bar couldn’t be better timed.

Let us know if you will be making your way to the Seaport Pier Beach Bar this summer!

The Wildwood Video Archive did get the tour the bar while it was under construction. You can check out that video down below (though things have changed since this video was filmed)
