Ocean Bay Coastal Grille & Bar Coming to North Wildwood
North Wildwood, NJ is about to welcome a fresh culinary addition to its vibrant seaside scene with the opening of Ocean Bay Coastal Grille & Bar at 2507 Delaware Ave.
The restaurant is set to breathe new life into the location formerly occupied by the Salty Mermaid Bar & Grille, which was on the market with an asking price of $3,299,900.

Opening back in 2018, the Salty Mermaid Bar & Grille quickly became a staple on the island, offering not only great drinks but fantastic food.
Over the years, this corner has seen a ton of different businesses call it home, from Tony’s to O’Boyle’s.
The Salty Mermaid turned the corner from just a bar to a high-end establishment that was a hit. Driving by at 6pm any day during the summer, people were lined up to grab a table.
From 2018 until their closing, they expanded the property to include an outdoor section of the restaurant and bar. This offered a great new atmosphere and a good place to see the sunset.
When the business first went up for sale, no one knew what would happen to the property. The sale of the property at that price also included a single-family home with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms.
The listing highlighted the location as having undergone a complete exterior and interior expansion in 2018, featuring new equipment and top-of-the-line finishes and that tt boasts seating for nearly 90 indoors and 70 outdoors.
At this time, according to the MLS, the sale is under contract with no official price posted yet.

The first hint of what could be coming to this location was posted on Facebook back in March.
A new page was created titled ‘Ocean Bay Coastal Grille & Bar’ with a post that said, “Mark your calendars… Ocean Bay Coastal Grille & Bar is opening in May. We’re the venue you’ve been waiting for.”
According to their posts, it doesn’t look like much on the inside is changing. It will mostly be just a logo change and minor changes inside.
A website has also been created to preview some of their menu items, which include starters, entrees, and breakfast.
For starters, they feature Crispy Calamari, Bavarian Pretzel, Spinach & Artichoke Dip, Mussels, Ocean Bay Bruschetta, Jack Daniel’s BBQ Shrimp, and much more.
For entrees, they mention Grilled Strawberry Salmon, Pecan-Crusted Tuna, Chicken Chesapeake, Pork Pepperoncini, Ribs, Crab Cake Seafood Risotto, and more.
Their breakfast menu includes Buttermilk Pancakes, Cinnamon Roll Pancakes, Chipped Beef, Eggs, Your Own Omelette, Pulled Pork Bennie, Ocean Bay Bennie, and more.
They haven’t officially posted their hours yet or their official opening date, but be sure to follow them on Facebook to stay in the loop. (and give them a like).
