Ocean City Named NJ’s Most Boring Town

Ocean City Named NJ’s Most Boring Town

We know this has absolutely nothing to do with Wildwood but we thought we should share something with you.

Last Thursday MSN put together a list that ranks “The Most Boring Town in Every State,” and it just so happened that it crowned Ocean City the winner/loser in New Jersey.

The information that was considered for this study was pulled from the U.S. Census and American Community Survey data. Out of the data MSN looked the places have the highest median ages, the fewest things to do and the lowest population density.

Out of the information pulled this is the facts MSN used.

  • Number of Entertainment spots: 20

  • Number of Hotels/Restaurants: 48

  • Population of 11,328

  • Size of OC in square miles 10.797

  • Density in people per square mile 1,049.18

  • Median Age of OC 53.2

  • Percent of Population Over 65: 29.3

MSN agrees that in no way are every one of these cities boring but just a more tame town.

What I do want to point out, which was the purpose of this article, was that just a year ago the same website ranked Ocean City New Jersey as the most exciting.

I guess what I’m trying to say to you is that you shouldn’t trust everything you read online.

Though to our sister town visitors, all we can say is if your looking for a fun time
