Retro Morey’s Piers 1990s Commercials

It’s strange to think that the 90s were 21 years ago. Time surely does fly by when your spending time on the beach and the boardwalk.

The 90s were an incredible time for the Wildwoods. It was at that time that Morey’s Piers introduced two new coasters that were the first of their kind.

In 1995, The Great Nor’easter was introduced to the pier which featured a 95-foot drop with 5 inversions at speeds of 55 miles per hour. This coaster was designed to fit the footprint of Morey’s Surfside Pier.

A year later in 1996 The Great White, a wood/metal hybrid coaster, opened which featured a 105 drop and speed up to 50 miles-per-hour.

To promote their massive investments Morey’s Piers hired a marketing team to create a few promotional videos. These commercials would be aired on networks from New York, Philadelphia, and even in Canada.

Below are two of those commercials. Let us know what you think.
