The news arrived via a heartfelt Facebook post that quickly garnered attention and heartfelt reactions. It read, “14 years of great food and great memories. The best part was watching all the kids, who worked in the store, including our own two boys, grow up into awesome people.

It continued, “We will watch three of them get married this weekend coming up, and will always be here for all of them. Whatever the future holds for all of us is unclear, but we are family, and together anything is possible. In always sunny North Wildwood.”

For over a decade, Shoobies had been the backdrop for countless gatherings, celebrations, and cherished moments. Families and friends had gathered there, savoring delectable dishes and creating indelible memories.

It was a place where laughter echoed, and friendships blossomed. The staff, a close-knit family, had watched their own children grow, nurturing them into remarkable individuals.

As the news spread, the community was flooded with nostalgia and sadness. Locals recalled their first visit to Shoobies, the taste of their favorite dishes, and the warmth of the place that had become a second home to so many.

The impending closure felt like the end of an era. Many made this their go-to places when down for vacation!
