Shorebreak Cafe, which is currently located in Sea Isle City, has quickly gained a following over the past few years.

Opened by Dana Iannelli, she brought her love of baking onto the island and surely put the place on the map with how amazing her baked goods are.

Driven by a desire to share the joy of her seaside experiences through food, Iannelli embarked on a journey of culinary education and got her degree from The Culinary Institute of America.

With her culinary credentials in hand, Dana ventured into the professional realm, eager to translate her love for sweet delights into a thriving career.

She embarked on a journey that took her from coast to coast, working in renowned bakeries across the nation and prestigious Private Country Clubs on the East Coast.

However, it was her time spent with a New York Custom Cake Designer that truly ignited her creativity and refined her artistry.

Inspired by the intricate designs and meticulous attention to detail, Dana honed her own signature style, infusing each creation with a touch of elegance and innovation.

Her talent and dedication soon caught the attention of a broader audience when she competed in the esteemed Food Network’s Wedding Cake Championship.

While the current central location of Shorebreak Cafe will temporarily remain closed as preparations for expansion continue, anticipation is building for the grand opening of its first new location this spring.

Situated at 8301 Landis Avenue, formerly the site of Nickleby’s, the new venue promises a larger space to accommodate guests, providing an elevated dining experience.

Nickleby’s had been a landmark on the island after operating for over 40 years.

The announcement came via their website.

“We are thrilled to embark on this new chapter and bring Shorebreak Cafe closer to our patrons,” says Iannelli. “Our commitment to delivering top-notch products and service remains steadfast, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to our new Sea Isle home.”

In addition to the Landis Avenue location, Shorebreak Cafe has plans to open a second venue upon the completion of the property redesign at 4000 Lands Avenue.

Shorebreak Cafe will continue to operate at the Sea Isle Farmers Market throughout the summer season, offering its signature fare every Tuesday at Excursion Park.

Additionally, the cafe is still accepting custom orders for weddings, birthdays, and other special occasions, with availability for events as early as May. Interested parties are encouraged to reach out via email at info@shorebreakcafe.com.

We wish Dana the best of luck with her new location!
