About Vilte

Vilte arrived in the U.S. in June and was employed as a lifeguard at Morey’s Piers and Water Parks in Southern New Jersey.

On July 9th, around 10:30 PM, while out with friends, she was struck in the head by a stray bullet, becoming an innocent victim of gun violence.

She was immediately transferred to the Atlantic City Medical Center, where quick and skilled medical intervention brought her to critical but stable condition.

Family’s Support and Vilte’s Recovery

Her family traveled from Europe shortly after the incident and plans to stay with her throughout her recovery.

Vilte faces a long road ahead, with doctors indicating she shows promising signs towards recovery. However, her brain injury means she will require long-term intensive care and in-patient physical therapy, much of which will occur in the U.S., far from her home.

Financial Needs

The financial burden of Vilte’s recovery is significant, potentially amounting to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Costs include intensive rehabilitation, medical expenses not covered by insurance, accommodation for her family, daily travel to the hospital, and flights for her parents to rotate between the U.S. and Lithuania, as they have two younger children at home.

This Fundraiser is looking to raise $50,000 to support Vilte. At this moment they have raised $15,000

How to Help

Financial donations can be made via the GoFundMe page, with 100% of donations collected by the Lunch with Lynch Foundation 501(c)(3) going directly to Vilte’s family.

Any amount is greatly appreciated. Additionally, sharing the campaign with friends and family will help spread awareness and gather more support for Vilte’s recovery journey.
