The event included African drumming, inspirational and speeches by prominent local leaders.

Many people don’t know that Harriet Tubman spent two summers here in Cape May working for the resort hotels as a cook and laborer.

The money that she saved up she used to help fund her Underground Railroad. She would even use Cape May as one of the stops on the Underground Railroad.

For those who were unable to make it down for the Grand Opening of The Harriet Tubman Museum, the entire event was live-streamed on YouTube.
