The Shore Eat Closes in North Wildwood
In a surprising turn of events, The Shore Eat has officially closed its North Wildwood location just nine months after opening its doors.
Located at 2501 New Jersey Ave, the eatery quickly became a familiar spot for both locals and tourists, especially fans of its original location in Cape May Court House.

The Shore Eat Closes in North Wildwood
The Shore Eat opened in North Wildwood in April 2024, taking over the former home of Shoobie’s “Good Eats,” a beloved local favorite that had served the community for an impressive 14 years.
Shoobie’s was known for its casual vibe, great food, and convenient location just around the corner from many residents.

For many, it had been the site of their first summer job or a go-to for family event catering. In short, it was a big loss.
When The Shore Eat opened, it brought hope and excitement, promising to carry on the tradition of good food and a welcoming atmosphere.

However, despite the initial excitement, The Shore Eat has now made the difficult decision to close its North Wildwood doors.
The official announcement became apparent when a “for rent” sign appeared on the front window.

The signs on the windows have been removed but the main marquee sign is still up.
While the future of this location remains uncertain, fans can still visit The Shore Eat at its original spot at 709 US-9 South in Cape May Court House. (Their food is amazing) We don’t know if they are moving to a new location or if this will be the last we see of them in the Wildwoods
The Wildwood Video Archive wishes the owners the best of luck and is eager to see what will come of this location.
