The Waterfront Wildwood Sold – Here is What We Know

Over the past few weeks, there have been a ton of rumors going around about the future of The Waterfront in Wildwood.

Some people have said that the property was sold. Others have said that the entire place was going to be torn down and replaced with condos or townhomes.

So, of course, we started digging.

And the good news is that while big changes are coming to The Waterfront, the property is staying a bar and it is NOT being torn down for condos or townhomes.

Here’s everything we know so far.

A Liquor License Transfer Is Underway

The first real clue about what was happening came from a public notice published in July.

According to the notice, an application was made to the City of Wildwood for a person-to-person transfer of the Plenary Retail Consumption License currently held by T & A The Waterfront, LLC.

The license, No. 0514-33-030-009, is being transferred to a new company called PWS83, LLC.

This is where things get interesting.

The liquor license isn’t being moved somewhere else in Wildwood. According to the public notice, it is staying at the exact same address:

4415 Park Boulevard.

That is, of course, the current home of The Waterfront.

The public notice also lists Peter W. Stampone as the sole member of PWS83, LLC, with a 100 percent interest in the company.

The notice was published on July 22 and July 29.

So while there has been a lot of talk online about The Waterfront being “sold,” what we can actually confirm through public records is that the liquor license and operation are going through a change.

So, What’s Happening to The Waterfront?

This is probably the biggest question everyone has been asking.

I can confirm that the property is going to remain a bar.

And probably the biggest piece of good news is that the building isn’t being torn down.

There are no plans to knock down The Waterfront and build condos or townhomes on the property.

Considering how many places throughout the Wildwoods have disappeared over the years and been replaced with residential development, I know that’s probably going to be a huge relief for a lot of people.

Instead, it looks like we’re going to see the property enter a new chapter.

Live Music Is Coming to an End

There is one major change that we can confirm.

After Labor day, there will no longer be live music at the property.

For anyone who has spent time at The Waterfront, especially during the summer, you know that live music has been a pretty big part of the place.

So this is definitely going to be one of the more noticeable changes.

We don’t know yet what, if anything, will replace the live entertainment.

Renovations Could Be Coming

The other thing we’re hearing is that a renovation could be coming to the property.

Exactly what that renovation looks like is still something we’re working to find out.

We don’t know how extensive it will be, what parts of the building could change or what the final concept is going to look like.

But the important part is that we’re talking about renovating the existing property, not knocking it down and starting over with residential development.

And that really changes the story here.

What We Still Don’t Know

There are still a few big questions.

We don’t know what the new bar will ultimately be called.

We don’t know if The Waterfront name will remain.

We don’t know exactly what renovations are planned.

And we don’t know what the overall concept will look like once everything is finished.

Those are all things we’re still working to confirm.

But for now, we finally have enough information to clear up some of the rumors that have been floating around.

Yes, changes are coming to The Waterfront.

There is a liquor license transfer underway. There will be no more live music after September 4th. A renovation looks to be coming, and there will be a new operator behind the property.

But the biggest news is probably what isn’t happening.

The Waterfront isn’t being torn down. There aren’t condos or townhomes coming to the site, and the property is going to remain a bar.

So while The Waterfront as we know it may be changing, 4415 Park Boulevard isn’t saying goodbye to Wildwood’s bar scene just yet.
